Belonging, Being and Becoming - The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Describes the principles, practices and outcomes that support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school.
The framework is a key component of the National Quality Framework for early childhood education and care.
The EYLF was developed by the Australian and state and territory governments with input from the early childhood sector and early childhood academics.
It has incorporated feedback from a consultation process, including two national symposiums, national public consultation forums, focus groups, an online forum and case-study trials.
The framework offers a vision where 'all children experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life'.
It has been designed so that early childhood services will be able to develop their own strategies to implement its objectives.
The Kids Matter website is an excellent place to find the latest information and support material for dealing with mental issues in early childhood development.
Covering both indoor and outdoor learning environments with a written report detailing practical ideas to make the most of your available space and materials.
"We have gained a broader understanding of methods used in documenting & following the EYLF.
Thank you so much!
We're less confused now, we found we learnt a lot on how to implement the EYLF & incorporating parents, families and the children’s interests.
Gained lots of ideas and different concepts on strategies to plan and implement experiences.Feel much more open to documenting in new ways.
Clear and structured on how we can initiate changes.
The EYLF program was displayed much more clearly and ideas for the new program were very good.
It all became much clearer and having a sense of being able to learn with children looks fun, not daunting."
